On behalf of a multinational operating in the Chemicals industry, we are seeking a Supply-Chain Project Manager to join the inhouse business consulting team.

The Business Consulting team support business units in a variety of supply-chain projects. Topics include planning, S&OP, process or cost optimization, strategic measures, warehousing, transportation or 3PL. The position offers broad exposure to the business and significant senior stakeholder engagement.
This is a high-development role - the Business Consulting team is highly regarded within the group and demonstrates an outstanding track-record in developing talent into business management positions. You would be expected to remain in the position for approx. 3-years before making the transition.

Prior experience in the chemicals sector is not required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • You are responsible to execute complex projects with a clear business perspective to sustainably improve the end-to-end supply chain performance
  • You lead teams and consultants of assigned projects, define and allocate work packages to project team members, steer resource allocation and consult clients by applying your own expertise
  • To ensure a high quality of solutions and standards to clients, you will monitor the project status (incl. cost, time) and adherence to project deliverables
  • You keep up with current trends as well as new methods and use your expertise to develop optimal solutions for the current supply chain challenges of our partners and our team
  • Key Requirements:
  • University degree in supply chain, business administration or a related field
  • Several years of professional experience with consulting and project management skills and a clear focus on supply chain
  • Strong supply chain knowledge (e.g. in the areas of planning, S&OP, process or cost optimization, strategic measures, warehousing, transportation or 3PL
