This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading industrial company as a Strategy Project Lead. Reporting into the Global Head of Strategy, the successful candidate will work closely with senior stakeholders across the business across a range of strategic projects. He / She will be expected to lead projects both independently and cross-functionally, focused on both conceptual work and implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
Development of business strategy on Group- and SBU-levels
Working in close co-operation with members of the Executive Board and SBU management teams
Conducting situation and trend analyses, drawing conclusions on business implications, strategic choices and areas of action, preparation of execution plans, management and follow-up
Leading and executing strategy projects, typically:
Projects of Group level, and projects cutting across SBUs
Selected SBU-level projects of Group-wide strategic importance
Special initiatives: E.G Fast Track program for key business projects and organizational change
Preparing regular Executive Board workshops on strategic themes
Operationalizing strategy into concrete initiatives and decision-ready proposals, including well-grounded business cases and execution plans
Continuous economic-, market- and competitor intelligence gathering, drawing implications for our businesses and strategy, and identifying emerging business opportunities and threats
Key Requirements:
Proven strategy and business development toolkit, preferably from a top-tier strategy consulting firm
Track record of successfully leading strategic projects or work streams
Confidence in communication and interaction with senior executives across cultures and countries
Strategic mindset combined with pragmatic, can-do approach
Entrepreneurial personality with drive and energy to motivate others and get things done
Excellent command of written and spoken English & German
