This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading industrial company as a Strategy Project Lead. Reporting into the Global Head of Strategy, the successful candidate will work closely with senior stakeholders across the business across a range of strategic projects. He / She will be expected to lead projects both independently and cross-functionally, focused on both conceptual work and implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Development of business strategy on Group- and SBU-levels
  • Working in close co-operation with members of the Executive Board and SBU management teams
  • Conducting situation and trend analyses, drawing conclusions on business implications, strategic choices and areas of action, preparation of execution plans, management and follow-up
  • Leading and executing strategy projects, typically:
  • Projects of Group level, and projects cutting across SBUs
  • Selected SBU-level projects of Group-wide strategic importance
  • Special initiatives: E.G Fast Track program for key business projects and organizational change
  • Preparing regular Executive Board workshops on strategic themes
  • Operationalizing strategy into concrete initiatives and decision-ready proposals, including well-grounded business cases and execution plans
  • Continuous economic-, market- and competitor intelligence gathering, drawing implications for our businesses and strategy, and identifying emerging business opportunities and threats

    • Key Requirements:

  • Proven strategy and business development toolkit, preferably from a top-tier strategy consulting firm
  • Track record of successfully leading strategic projects or work streams
  • Confidence in communication and interaction with senior executives across cultures and countries
  • Strategic mindset combined with pragmatic, can-do approach
  • Entrepreneurial personality with drive and energy to motivate others and get things done
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English & German
