On behalf of a leading multinational based in the Stuttgart area (t/o €30+ billion), we are currently hiring for a Senior Analytics Project Manager / Product Owner. 

This is a newly created position to develop Data Analytics Applications as part of a high-profile Central Analytics Function. Responsibilities include initial ideation phase, development of use cases, development of models (alongside data scientists), prioritise and coordinate all internal stakeholders, roll-out of the end solution to the customer (25+ countries).

The position offers full end to end scope in building Big Data Analytics Applications for a market leader internationally.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Mix of project management and agile project implementation responsibility in a Product Owner role.
  • In the project management role, you agree with all relevant stakeholders, the vision and the business case, agree on the framework conditions (time, budget and collaboration model), identify the project risks and lead key communication for the project.
  • In the Product Owner role, you are responsible for the agile development of the analytics team (e.g. according to Scrum methodology). You pervade the analytics-driven process, business relationships, and KPIs, and work with the development team and department to ensure that there is a prioritized development backlog.
  • The cross-functional development team enables the technical implementation of the product idea. You work with the team on equal terms. Through a positive presence and the ability to work together with people, you increase the team spirit in development and enable a successful product development with satisfied customers / users.
  • Key Requirements Include:

  • University degree in Economics, (Business Informatics, Mathematics / Statistics, Data Science and / or in Controlling) with a focus on Optimization, Operations Research and Business Analysis (Master / Diploma) or a similar education
  • Several years of professional experience in the conception and IT implementation of business processes; e.g. in the context of process / optimization projects (Operations Research)
  • Several years of experience in (IT) project management using established methods (e.g. Prince2) and the conception of business management processes, e.g. in the context of process / optimization projects (Operations Research)
  • Ideally, prior experience in carrying out agile projects, for example according to SCRUM in the Product Owner role
  • Ideally, you have already implemented programs with R, Python, or worked on projects with big data technologies (Hadoop, MapReduce, NoSQL)
  • Fluent English & German language skills
